National Night Out – Tuesday, August 4th, 2009

29 July 2009 6 views No Comment

Please join us on Tuesday, August 4th for a National Night Out.  This is going to be in the spirit of our past “Flamingo Fridays”.  It will be a casual event to get out of the house and show your support for the community.  The Dekalb County Police Department will be attending for part of the meeting.  They will be able to respond to questions you may have but for the most part this will be a social gathering rather than a formal meeting.  Please grab a chair and your favorite beverage and join us for a night out!

The meeting will be from 7-8pm at 2917 St Patrick Street.  Look for the sign out front with the pink flamingo!

On Tuesday, August 4 neighborhoods throughout the county, state and nation are
being invited to join forces with Police, nationwide for the “26th ANNUAL
NATIONAL NIGHT OUT” (NNO).  This is a crime and drug prevention event.
National Night Out is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch
(NATW) and co-sponsored locally by DeKalb County Police Crime Awareness Units
and Interactive Community Policing Units.  The event involves over 11,000
communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases
around the world.  In all, over 35 million people are expected to participate in
“Americas Night Out against Crime”.

Please look for both printed and email notices in the next couple days.  Hope you all can make it out.
