A taste of things to come

As you may have noticed the site got a nice visual refresh tonight.  This is only part of what is coming.  I have been working with a friend and designer, Doug Chatham, to design new fliers and the new graphics for the site and newsletter.

I have always wanted to give the site a better look and Doug really stepped up to the plate on this.  I think it looks fantastic.  This style will be carried over into any other media we produce for the organization. Thanks Doug for your hard work!

The new fliers should make it easier for us to get notices out quickly since they will get pre-cut by a print shop (who is also going to donate some paper).

And I will be opening up the new mailing list here soon.  This will be a great improvement on what we have done the past year or so.  It means you won’t need to sign up for the site to be on the list (no username or password needed) and you will be able to unsubscribe (or subscribe) quickly and easily.  And another benefit will be that we can use rich formatting and carry over our nice new graphics into the emails.  I am hoping to roll out the first version of this newsletter to announce the next event (once we settle on a date)

As always please report any incidents to myself or your block captain.   You can email me at info@dekalbcrimewatch.org and my phone number is available upon request.
